The roaster's story:

Meet the passionate producers of this amazing Panamanian Catuai, each bringing their unique touch to this exceptional coffee.

Benjamin de Dianous Henríquez is a seasoned coffee farmer from Boquete, deeply rooted in his family’s coffee legacy. In 1964, Benjamin and his wife Irma transformed their farm from growing vegetables and legumes into a thriving coffee plantation by 1992. The family’s dedication to quality is evident in every cherry they produce, adhering to strict standards and diversifying with other crops like avocados, bananas, and oranges. Benjamin values the Creativa project for its fair pricing and its blend of coffee and art—two passions that inspire him daily. His love for art is reflected in his collection, which includes paintings that celebrate his farm’s history, embodying the beauty and inspiration he finds in both art and coffee.

Victor Rojas, a dedicated farmer from Boquete Chiriqui, cultivates his micro-lot with devotion. His 3-hectare farm, home to 12,000 Pacamara plants, flourishes at 1500 meters above sea level. Harvesting from December to March, Victor’s commitment to quality is unmatched—each cherry is carefully selected and processed to perfection. His love for the color orange, symbolizing the exceptional quality of his coffee, is reflected in his work. Victor’s farm not only produces outstanding coffee but also supports the local community by employing 10 locals. For him, the fusion of coffee and art, brought together by the Creativa project, is essential for personal growth and emotional expression.

Robert Jameison is an 81-year-old coffee enthusiast making a significant impact on Panama’s coffee industry. After retiring, Robert turned his attention to coffee farming in Boquete, nurturing a 3.5-hectare farm at 1,500 meters above sea level. His passion project, home to 15,000 coffee trees, is meticulously managed through scientific studies to ensure the highest quality beans. Despite challenges like low coffee prices and the hot Boquete summers, Robert remains undeterred, navigating these obstacles with the wisdom of experience. His dedication to quality and his love for learning about coffee’s diverse flavors make him a standout in the industry. Every bean from Robert’s farm is a testament to his relentless pursuit of excellence.
