The Explorer #1: Sapid Coffee

November 2022, Five cups is glad to offer a first sight at the Greek specialty coffee culture by introducing Sapid Coffee roasters from Athens. 

Sapid coffee has been founded in 2014 by Antonis Kargiotis and George Bournelis. Within these years, the brand has gained the trust of the local and international coffee community by winning various local and international coffee championships.

The Explorer's roasting style may differ from our general coffee selection (which is the goal of the explorer). 

Living a life in Greece, guys gravitate toward the southern style which makes the roast slightly darker influencing the flavors and taste. With Sapid you wouldn't experience high citrus-kind acids, rather than pleasant sherry notes.  At the same time, the roast is light enough to preserve all the miracles of flavors beans could be preserved for you.
